Do you refill cushions for chairs and sofas?
We can pick up your cushions from surrounding local areas in Edinburgh and professionally fill them to suit your furniture. Please call us for more information on this service.
Can I pick up my order from the store?

Will my foam smell?
Yes, your new foam does have a slight smell, but not overpowering. It gives off a newness smell like you would smell on a new bed etc. This will clear in a few days.
Will my foam go soft?
Your foam will soften a little over time, we recommend you turn your foam cushions on a weekly basis to help wear evenly.
Does foam change colour?
Foam discolours when exposed to natural light, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the foam.
What is Dacron wrap?
Polyfibre wrap helps prevent permanent creasing of the cover and prolongs the life of the foam. We recommend Dacron wrap and stockinette for all upholstery foam for the most luxurious feel. Find out more about Dacron wrap.
What is stockinette?
The use of stockinette helps to protect your cover fabric from the surface of the foam and also make fitting and removal of covers much easier when washing them. Our product features the use of stockinette, which serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it acts as a protective layer, safeguarding your cover fabric from any potential damage caused by the foam surface. Secondly, it simplifies the process of fitting and removing covers, making it a breeze when it comes to washing them. What foam should I buy for my yoga mats?
We recommend our high density reconstituted chip foam is 6lb.this is more durable and heavy to take full bodyweight and movement and won't slide on hard surfaces. This foam conforms with Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, BS5852.
What foam should I buy for D.I.Y. projects such as headboards and ottoman tops?
We recommend our light density, soft white foam V24 which is great for headboards and general use. The foam is soft and used for resting your head and back for only light pressure and conforms with Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, BS5852. This grade of foam is not appropriate for use in seating.
What foam should I buy for my luxury sofas which are very thick?
We recommend our reflex soft foam V40 cushion which is suitable for general domestic use. It can also be used for your luxury replacement sofa seats cushions, chair seats cushions and general upholstery projects. Conforms with Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, BS5852.
What foam should I buy for my boat seat cushions?
We recommend our very firm high density blue V33 foam cushion. It is a cost effective foam which is not sat on as often as daily furniture, plus it is lightweight and conforms with Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, BS5852. It can also be used for seats cushions not over 10cm depth, window seats, caravans, boats, garden furniture seat pads, and general upholstery projects.
What foam should I buy to replace foam in my sofa seat cushions?
We recommend our reflex medium grey V40 foam cushion. This is a reflex foam which gives everyday soft comfort, the foam goes back to shape when a person rises from the seat. It conforms with Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, BS5852. It can also be used for replacement sofa seats cushions, chair seats cushions, window seats, caravans, boats, garden furniture seat pads and general upholstery projects.
What foam should I buy for dining chairs?
We recommend foam with a thickness of around 5cm from our high density range, giving a firm level of comfort. Find out more about replacement dining chair foam.
What are the different grades of foam?
We offer different grades, or densities, of foam - which are suitable for different purposes. Each use has different requirements - whether it’s to sit on, or lean against - inside, or out. Each of our products has suggested densities for you to choose from.
Are your foams safe to use in all environments?
The foam we use is polyurethane and can be used outdoors or indoors (only if not exposed to adverse weather conditions). All our foam is made in the UK and complies with British Standard Institute regulations 5825 and conforms to the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988.

All our foams are manufactured in the UK.
What shapes of foam do you cut?
We can cut any shape of foam you require - most of which is available to order online directly. For anything more complex, just give us a call.

Do you cut the foam there and then as ordered?
No, we do not offer a while you wait basis, but we can have your custom order foam delivered to you in 5-6 working days.
